Brandon Howland | Real Estate Broker, Downeast Maine
I grew up on Beals Island, in Washington County, where most people make their living on the water. I did too, starting at 14. It's a different kind of work, the kind where what you know and how hard you show up determines everything. That's still how I approach real estate.
I bought my first home here, on this coast, with my wife. We have two daughters. We garden, we're working on homesteading, and we're not going anywhere. When I help someone buy or sell property in this region, I'm not working a territory. I'm working in the place I chose to stay.
I got my license in 2021 and have averaged $3 to $4 million in closed volume annually, with over $20 million in lifetime sales across Hancock, Washington, Penobscot, and Waldo Counties. That production in a rural Maine market with limited inventory and a tight buyer pool isn't an accident. It comes from knowing the market at the town level, not the county level.
